Mark Deutschman is a Vice President of Houston Engineering and manager of the Minneapolis office. His primary technical duties include environmental review, hydrologic and hydraulic design, watershed management in rural and urban settings, design of water quality monitoring sampling programs, storm water monitoring and modeling, development of total maximum daily loads and waste load allocations, development of water quality protection plans, and biological monitoring programs. Additional areas of responsibility include the preparation of environmental review documents, wetland delineation and permitting, NPDES permitting and water quality standards evaluation.

Dr. Deutschman is literate with many computer models, including FLUX, BATHTUB, P8, SWMM, CE-QUAL-W2, QUAL2E, WASP, HEC1, HEC2, HEC-RAS, WSPRO, and RMA-2. He has formal training in wetland delineation and the use of natural resource models including the Habitat Evaluation Procedure (HEP) and Physical Habitat Simulation Model (PHABSIM). Along with modeling, he has also successfully completed conceptual design for many flood control projects. Dr. Deutschman is also adept at complex statistical analysis of field data using statistical programs including Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Minnitab, and EXCEL.

Mark has several hobbies including fishing and hunting. He especially enjoys archery elk hunting in the western states of the U.S.
